
Established in The Hague in 1998

Ninety members not only from The Hague, but from all over the Netherlands.
Repertoire consists of classic and popular works, but Concertante specializes in the interpretation of English Hymns and Carols wherein the particular sound of the choir can be heard.
Every year an Advent Concert named “Classics and Carols” with the cooperation of many vocal and instrumental soloists as Ira Spaulding, Janet Mooney, Barbara Tucker, and others.
The Choir performed in famous Dutch Cathedrals and Concert Halls like the Pieterskerk in Leiden and the Royal Concert Hall in Amsterdam.
In 2001 Concertante performed in the Dom of Köln and the Cathedral of Altenberg, Germany.
Gerard Brëas
Appointed
as an organist in Scheveningen at the age of nineteen. Conductor of Tom Parkers
New London Chorale, Orchestra and Choir. Conductor of numerous events with very
large Choirs, like several Sing-in Concerts in large Concert Halls in the
Netherlands. Travelled with a “special opportunity Choir” to Germany, France,
Austria, Czech Republic, United States, South Africa and The United Kingdom

Wim Loef
Received his first lessons on the organ by Ben van Oosten and later on by Arie J. Keijzer and Gerard Akkerhuis. Obtained his State-examination B for organ and Church music at The Hague Conservatory.
Organist of the Lutheran Church at Delft. For many years he has been the steady accompanist of several Choirs of Gerard Brëas. Regularly plays as a guest-organist at various big Music- and Choir performances in different countries.
